Wow, it’s been a minute (or two…) since my last blog post! I can’t believe the last time I posted was almost 2 MONTHS AGO. It’s crazy how fast time goes by when you’re busy so I apologize this blog post is long overdue. I originally started this blog to help others who were getting into health and fitness. I wanted to share what I’ve learned over the years as well as share some recipes that making eating healthy easier. I don’t want to post content just to post content; I want it to be meaningful and helpful to those reading my blog. Anyway, I’m not into long-winded posts so without further ado, let’s get into what this post is really about: my new favorite protein powder.
If you follow me on Instagram (@lauraloveswaffles) or have read any of my previous posts, you probably already know that I have a protein smoothie almost every morning. I was using PEScience as my protein powder for a couple of months and decided to switch it up and try a different brand. I had no problems with PEScience and actually really liked it but I wanted to try other brands and see if I liked them better. There are so many different protein brands and I figured I’d try another one. I looked into several brands and finally decided upon Unico Nutrition. I picked Unico for a few reasons. First, I liked their tagline: “Smart supplements for fitness people and unicorns. Our products don’t work. You do.” I think a lot of times people expect to take a supplement and see results without putting in the work. Unico makes it clear that they help you with your goals but you are the one who puts in the work. Secondly, they don’t hide what is in their products. They give you the actual ingredients and you know what you’re putting into your body. Lastly, their name stands for unicorns because their unique like their company and that’s pretty awesome if you ask me. 🙂
As a chocoholic, I of course ordered the Molten Chocolate Lava Protein Powder. I was surprised at how well it blended and how fine the powder was. It tasted delicious and chocolaty in my smoothies without adding additional cacao powder. The short version is I’m now obsessed with it and I love all their products I’ve tried so far. There are a tiny bit more carbs in their protein than PEScience (aka better tasting protein waffles) so that is a plus for me. If you’re interested in trying any of their products, you can use my code LAURA at check-out and get a 15% discount off your order (Unico Nutrition Website). If you have any questions, feel free to ask them below and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
