Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Waffles

It’s almost Wednesday and you know what that means… waffles!  This recipe is absolutely delicious and high in protein.  I used chocolate peanut butter protein powder and topped my waffles with chocolate chips and PB2 so they were extra peanut buttery and extra chocolatey.  This recipe keeps me full in the morning and is always a great way to start my day.  Enjoy!

1/2 cup oat flour
32.5 g PEScience Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
20 Lily’s chocolate chips

2 tbsp powdered peanut butter

Heat waffle iron.  Mix dry ingredients in a bowl, then add egg, chocolate chips and enough water to get a pour-able consistency.  Pour batter into waffle iron and wait for the waffle to cook.  While waiting for the waffle to cook, mix the powdered peanut butter with water.  The packaging recommends 2 tbsps but I use more so the peanut butter is a little runnier.

Tips & Tricks:
Instead of adding the chocolate chips into the batter, I add them in after I’ve poured the batter into the waffle iron.  This way I can distribute them more evenly and make sure I get chocolate in every bite!
