One of my favorite types of YouTube videos from fitness professionals to watch are “What I Eat in a Day” videos. I like watching these videos because I learn new recipes to incorporate into my daily life that I may not have thought of. I also learn how to make healthier versions of dishes that are normally not healthy and how to get more protein into my diet. Since these videos are beneficial to me, I thought I’d share a blog version of what I eat in a day. Below is what I ate on Thursday, January 5th and what a day on my plate typically looks like. That being said, not every day is the same and it varies from day to day. Some days I eat very clean (like today) and other days I eat a whole tub of Ben & Jerry’s (because life’s too short not to!). Living a healthy lifestyle is all about moderation and listening to your body. As Gigi Hadid says, “Eat clean, stay fit, and have a burger to stay sane.”

*The calories and macros don’t match up because I went off the calories on the packaging which is usually rounded up or down. If you’re counting calories by macros, I ate a total of 1798 (4 calories per carb, 9 per fat & 4 per protein). I don’t strictly track my calories but I do use MyFitnessPal to make sure I eat at least 1700 calories per day and get at least 30-40% protein.
I also ate a bunch of dried mangos that I didn’t track. I get the bulk bag from Costco and absolutely LOVE them! If you haven’t tried them, definitely check them out. The brand I buy is Made in Nature which has no added sugar. I probably eat WAY too many for them to be healthy for me but they’re natural so it’s okay, right? 🙂
